According to experts, industrial floor coatings in China at present basically is solvent and non solvent type epoxy floor coating, organic solvent based epoxy floor coatings contain more of these organic solvents, environmental pollution in the production and construction phase into the atmosphere, paint, and endanger human health; solvent-free epoxy floor coatings containing reactive diluent a small amount of reactive diluent, commonly used for the Ding Ji glycidyl ether (have a certain toxicity), using self leveling construction technology, the film thickness is 1 ~ 5mm, high cost and containing a small amount of volatile organic solvents.
With the enhancement of environmental regulations and awareness of environmental protection, waterborne epoxy floor coatings will be widely used, the research and development of waterborne epoxy floor coatings has great economic benefit and social benefit. Waterborne epoxy flooring coatings has comparable performance with the solvent based epoxy floor coating, floor coating used in the pharmaceutical, food, textile, chemical industry, hospitals, electronics and other industries existing waterborne epoxy flooring coatings can production factory building, office building, warehouse, laboratory, especially suitable for the ground floor, basement, underground parking field and other relatively humid environment. As a green product, waterborne epoxy flooring must be recognized by people and widely used.
Waterborne epoxy floor coatings advantage
(1) the film high adhesion, corrosion resistance and chemical resistance, excellent performance, high hardness, good wear resistance, excellent electrical insulation;
(2) with water as the dispersion medium, low odor, non flammable, storage, transport and use to meet the requirements of environmental protection;
(3) of waterborne epoxy floor coating after curing the coating will be the presence of a small amount of water, can avoid the solvent-free epoxy floor coatings because of curing was too dense to cause the concrete internal moisture can not be removed to produce blister, deformation, hollowing and even peeling of coating defects. Waterborne epoxy flooring coatings because of the particularity of curing makes the coating after drying with micro pore, allows water vapor permeability, thus releasing the internal vapor pressure of concrete, so that the coating from damage, while protecting concrete;
(4) has the advantages of convenient use, good construction performance, construction tools available direct water cleaning, reduce the construction cost;
(5) the wide scope of application, can use at room temperature and humid environment, and also have good recoatability of old substrate;
(6) strong decoration, smooth surface, half light, Yaguang, many colors for choice.
Although the waterborne epoxy floor coatings have these advantages, but can not deny its also has some disadvantages: the construction process and material surface cleanliness requirements high, due to the surface tension of water, dirt, easy to make the film shrinkage hole; because the water paint, not suitable for winter or low temperature environment construction; countermeasure strong mechanical force to the poor dispersion stability; corrosion coating equipment is big, need to adopt anti-corrosion lining or stainless steel material, high cost of equipment.
